Over the last few months I have been busy in the studio preparing work for my exhibition 'Crystal Creations' at the Contemporary Ceramics Centre in London.
As my largest exhibition to date and my first solo exhibition, I was honoured to be given the opportunity to show some of the latest pieces I have been working on,
The exhibition is now open and runs until 8th April. For more details see the CPA Ceramics website.
There are some images below of the work displayed for the Private View last Wednesday evening.
I was recently given the opportunity to host a Crystalline Glaze workshop at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center in Florida on 27th & 28th February. There will be some video clips to follow soon on my Youtube channel, so watch this space!
Sunday began with a demonstration of how I trim and turn my pots after they have been thrown, as well as some further throwing demonstrations - including how I make my pedestals and catch-trays, a challenging two-part joined vase and a large platter.
Overall, the workshop was a fantastic experience, and I met some really great people. Thanks go out to Glenn Woods of the Pottery Boys for inviting me and organising the class!
If you're interested in tuition, I am currently unable to teach from my own studio however I do teach with Kent Adult Education at a few different venues in Kent, UK - you can view my current class schedule for more information. For workshop enquiries, you can also get in touch with me using my contact form, via email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone on (+44) 07986250397.

I will be exhibiting at the Oxford Ceramics Fair this weekend. I will be showing lots of new work and a few brand new glazes! If you're in the area, come and take a look.
Here's a few vases I have sprayed with a red slip. In a few days these will soon be bright red with blue crystals... Hopefully :)
Check out this brand new video of me making a narrow necked porcelain vase. It also shows me turning the vase the following day to tidy up the final shape.
Been busy in the studio this week. Here are just a few new shapes I have been working on.
Would be interesting to know what your favourite shape is. You can vote by using the poll underneath.
Some new work has just been delivered to the Bevere Gallery in Worcester. Sent eleven pieces in different shapes and glazes, all of which are for sale on the Bevere Gallery website.
Heres a vase glazed in my deep blue/black glaze. Makes a huge difference to the appearance of the crystals when placed in the sun.
